Hi! I'm a
Christian,
are you?
Now I don't mean do you go to church on Sunday,
or at Christmas and Easter!
And I don't care if your Grandma gave you an Authorized,
official, 1611, King James
"If it's good enough for the Apostle Paul, it's good enough for me"
Bible!
What I want to know is, do you have a personal, one to one, RELATIONSHIP
with God?
You CAN
know for sure!
The
Bible says, "These things have I written unto unto you that believe on
the Name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW
that ye HAVE
eternal life..." (1 John 5:13) You can KNOW
that you NOW
(present tense) HAVE
eternal life with God! It is really
simple. You just have to take God's Word (the Bible) for it!
What does
God's Word say?
It says, "...Except a man be BORN
AGAIN , he cannot see the
Kingdom of God." (John 3:3) Yeah, yeah, I know, you've heard THAT
before! But are you like the religious guy,
Nicodemus, was? He asked
Jesus, in essence, "Wait, Jesus, what do you want me to do?
Crawl back up in my
mother's womb and be born again?" NO!
Jesus was talking
about a re-birth of the human spirit! That can only happen when we do
what the Bible says
we must do to be saved! And what, exactly is that?
Here it is:
Romans 10:8-11
"But what saith it? The Word
is nigh thee, even in thy mouth
(speak it), and in thy heart (believe it): that is, the Word of Faith
which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (or,
confess Jesus as Lord
over your life), and shalt believe in thy heart (your human spirit)
that God hath raised
Him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED.
(Notice: no
"if, ands, or buts", "thou SHALT
be") For with the
heart (spirit) man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made
unto salvation. (The Greek word used here translated "salvation" is "soteria",
meaning: "saved, delivered, healed, and made whole, spirit, soul and
body, and
delivered from temporal evil!) For the scripture saith, WHOSOEVER
(that's YOU) believeth on Him shall NOT
be ashamed."
So, why are
you waiting?
You have God's Word on it! And He
doesn't lie (in fact, it is impossible
for Him to lie! - Hebrews 6:18, Numbers 23:19) And
another thing!
God is NOT
your problem! Religion
("religion" is man's attempt to reach and understand God, it is NOT
Christianity) taught us that God is "doing things to
us
for our greater good!" Baloney!
The Bible doesn't teach
that! It says, "Do not err (make a
mistake) my beloved brethren. EVERY
good gift and EVERY
perfect gift is from above, and cometh down
from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow
of turning."
(James 1:16, 17) Basically, God isn't "wishy-washy",
schizophrenically
helping some and hurting others! No!
He is consistent! The
Bible says that satan is the one that comes to "steal, kill and
destroy!" Jesus
is come to give us life, and that
more abundantly! (John 10:10)
So, don't blame God! Look to Him for help and
salvation! Do it now!
Pray along these lines:
"God, I believe that Jesus died and was buried, and on the third day
arose from the
dead. I now receive Him as Lord and Master over my life!
I now know from your
Word in Romans 10:8-11, that I am a Christian. Thank you,
Father, for saving me!
